Tell us about yourself!

I am a young woman striving for change in rural communities especially Africa. This includes educating the public about climate change and how it is affecting vulnerable communities. I am working hard to leave legacy at UNL about my passion for sustainable development. I am looking forward in the future to own a hazard mitigation consultancy firm after school in Africa. I enjoy watching real life movies and dancing in my free time when I am at University of Nebraska. Staying with my family at home is my favorite moment when I am back in Rwanda. Adventure makes me feel special and I can't wait to finish my undergraduate studies to visit many states in United States.

What made you excited to be a part of the Cultivate ACCESS Program at UNL?

I am excited about activities that I will be partipating in and meeting new people.

What are your future goals?

I am looking forward to be a director of a hazard mitigation consulting firm in Africa. This is important to me because as an environmentalist, I know that climate change and other effects from degraded environment will affect mostly vulnerable communities. I feel responsible for being part of sustainable development in the future. I am also looking forward to owning beauty businesses as I get older. I want to be a volunteer for different charity organizations around the world.
